Re: Milan
If you can get tickets then go to La Scala for the opera, San Siro worth a tour. Also, the Galleria Vittorio shopping mall is good. Outside of that Milan is quite a grey industrial city.

Re: Milan
Be careful on the trains . Full of pickpockets. SAN Siro tour was good the rest of it is a bit shit IMO.

Thanks all.

If we get a clear day we will go to the lakes.

Re: Milan
Too cold in winter, and the humidity makes it feel too hot in summer.

Spring and autumn are the best times to go.

Sorry.

All Milan to Lake Como trains are run by Trenitalia. Most Trenitalia trains are direct, depart from either Milano Centrale or Milano Porta Garibaldi train station and arrive at Como S. Giovanni train station. The Milan to Lake Como train journey takes as little as 36 minutes to arrive in Lake Como.

Agree with , galleria Duomo, san siro and a bar/restaurant area I once went to which was away from the centre are all there is to offer simplistically. Obviously I would suggest Turin/Torino has a lot more charm to offer than its industrial reputation suggests.

Re: Milan
Milan has the Duomo, Galleria and not much else at all. Instead as someone has suggested pop up to the lakes or, much nearer, visit Bergamo. The old town up on the hill is a joy.

Could also take in an Atalanta home game too.

How long are you there for? Jump on a train to the Italian Lakes is what I would do too.

Re: Milan
San Siro tour is pretty good, 2 trophy rooms, one for Inter, another for AC. Seriously impressive. Quite cheap too from what I remember. Other than that the Doumo is ok. Pretty quiet there though of a night time I found.
